Aqualyx® is a fat dissolving injection treatment that targets stubborn fat, breaks down the membranes of fat cells beneath the skin which are typically resistant to exercise and a good diet.

Aqualyx is a solution of deoxycholic acid which emulsifies fats. Once the fat cells become unstable, they break down and the body’s immune system then eliminates the fatty acids via the lymphatic system and liver. Unlike liposuction, the treatment has some skin tightening affects to the area, so you are less likely to end up with loose skin feeling which results in a contoured and tone appearance.

The human body has fatty deposits in areas like the abdomen and thighs to supply energy in times of need. However as a result of genetics some fatty deposits cannot be broke down by diet and exercise alone. That’s when Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections can help! • Wear a compression garment (non-essential but helpful)

• Drink 1.5-2 liters of water everyday

• Avoid taking any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen for first 24 hours – as it dampens the body’s respone to the injections.

• Do not apply cosmetics onto treated area for 12 hours.

• Use a gel to sooth tenderness and/or soreness and reduce bruising.

Once a fat cell has been destroyed, it has been permanently removed from your body and this cannot be undone. However, if you do not continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle then your body will put on weight in other areas of your body where fat cells remain.

Fat dissolving typically requires a course of of 3 to 5 treatments on the body
and 1 to 3 on the face is usually advised for the best results.

We recommend you wait between 6-8 weeks before your next session.

You will start to notice an improvement anywhere between 3 and 6 weeks.

Treatment only takes 45 minutes. It is not painful, you will not be able to feel the needles due to the anaesthetic cream. However there may be soreness and a little discomfort once the lidocaine and anaesthetic cream wears off.

Target areas that can be treated with fat dissolving injections on the body include the abdomen, love handles, muffin top, saddlebags, inner thighs, knees, upper arms, back rolls, buttocks and underarm bra fat. Target areas on the face include double chins and the jawline.

You must be 18 or over to receive the treatment. If you are aged 16 or over you may be able to receive treatment if given permission by a guardian.

Yes, they are perfectly safe when administered by a qualified practitioner using products with a good safety record. Aqualyx has been given CE approval for use in the UK which means it meets the health and safety standards required by the European Union.

Treatment is not suitable for obese or heavily overweight candidates or women who are pregnant and breastfeeding.

There may be initial swelling and redness in the treatment area which usually resolves within 3 to 4 days. There may be minor bruising at the injection sites and/or sensitivity and tenderness around the treated area. This will generally resolve in up to 10 to 14 days.
